Jobs/CAITR™

The CAITR™ Code of Conduct

CAITR™ Holders and candidates for the designation are entrusted with work that shapes how artificial intelligence systems behave. This Code sets out the standards of professional conduct required of them. By signing it, each candidate and Holder undertakes to observe it in every engagement, with every platform and client.

Standards of conduct

Holders and candidates must observe the following standards.

  1. Integrity of work. Perform all work personally, diligently and to the best of their ability, and record accurately the work actually performed. They must not fabricate or falsify ratings, data, sources, test results or time worked, nor present the output of any tool as their own where the engagement does not permit it.
  2. Adherence to engagement guidelines. Follow the guidelines of each engagement in preference to their own judgement or the rules of any other engagement. Where guidelines are unclear or appear to conflict, they must seek clarification from the engagement rather than proceed on an assumption, and must record the rule they applied.
  3. Confidentiality. Hold in confidence all guidelines, prompts, data and model outputs to which they are given access. They must not disclose such material outside the engagement, whether publicly, on social media or forums, or to another platform, and must not retain copies except as the engagement permits.
  4. Respect for persons and personal data. Refrain from introducing personal data relating to real individuals into work that does not require it, and handle any personal data they encounter in accordance with the engagement’s requirements and applicable law. They must conduct themselves with courtesy and professionalism towards fellow contributors, reviewers and engagement staff.
  5. Responsible safety testing. Conduct adversarial or safety testing only within an authorised scope, and refrain from applying techniques or findings obtained in that work to any other service or purpose. They must cease work on, and report, any material that may be unlawful, and must neither create nor retain such material.
  6. Truthful representation. Represent their identity, location, qualifications and availability truthfully to every platform and client, and comply with each platform’s terms governing accounts.
  7. Proper use of the designation. Use the CAITR™ designation only while their credential is active, and only to indicate that they have satisfied the requirements recorded against it. They must not state or imply that the designation constitutes endorsement by any platform, or that it guarantees work or any level of pay.
  8. Integrity of examinations. Refrain from disclosing CAITR™ examination questions, tasks or answers, from assisting any person to obtain an unfair advantage, and from making use of any assistance that an examination does not permit.
  9. Disclosure of errors. Inform the engagement promptly of any error on their part that affects the quality or integrity of its data, whether or not the error would otherwise be detected.

Breaches of the Code

Where aitrainers.jobs receives credible evidence that a Holder or candidate may have breached this Code, it will notify the person concerned of the matter in writing and give them a reasonable opportunity to respond before reaching a decision. A breach found to be serious may result in the suspension or revocation of the designation, in which event the credential’s verification page will record that it is no longer valid.

The annual statement

Every candidate must sign this Code before the designation is awarded, and every Holder must renew the signature annually, free of charge, from their designation page. A designation whose statement is more than 30 days overdue is shown as lapsed until the statement is renewed. The statement reads:

I confirm that I have read the CAITR™ Code of Conduct and undertake to comply with it. Where I hold the designation, I further confirm that I have complied with it throughout the preceding twelve months.
