Self-paced remote work in which registered vascular technologists write expert tasks and check AI answers against vascular testing practice. It suits credentialed vascular sonographers with duplex, venous or cerebrovascular experience.
Sobre a vaga
Opportunity Overview
Handshake is looking for registered vascular technologists to support AI research through flexible, part-time contract work. This is not a traditional job. You’ll draw on your clinical training and hands-on experience in vascular ultrasound and noninvasive vascular testing, including arterial, venous, cerebrovascular, and abdominal vascular studies, to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI reason like a practicing vascular technologist. The Handshake AI program runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different areas of expertise.
This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity you can take on alongside your current role.
What You’ll Do
- Use your vascular technology expertise to create expert-level tasks that today’s top AI models can’t solve, based on real vascular lab workflows such as duplex ultrasound acquisition, Doppler waveform analysis, physiologic testing (ABI, segmental pressures, and plethysmography), vessel stenosis and thrombosis assessment, and preliminary findings and reporting
- Review and evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, patient safety, and alignment with current vascular testing practice and professional guidelines
- Provide clear, structured written feedback to help improve AI model performance
- Work remotely and complete tasks at your own pace, with no set schedule or minimum hour requirement
Qualifications
- Education : Completed an accredited sonography program and must hold a bachelor’s degree
- Credential : Currently holds the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential from ARDMS, or the equivalent Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Clinical depth : Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Lower and upper extremity arterial duplex and physiologic testing
- Venous duplex, including DVT evaluation and venous insufficiency mapping
- Carotid and cerebrovascular duplex, including transcranial Doppler
- Abdominal vascular studies, including renal, mesenteric, and aortic imaging
- Dialysis access and vein mapping
- Post-intervention surveillance, including stents, grafts, and endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR)
- Waveform analysis and hemodynamic assessment
Additional qualifications (not required, but strengthen your application)
- Additional credentials, such as RDMS or RDCS, or experience across multiple vascular and ultrasound specialties
- Experience in an accredited vascular lab (e.g., IAC-accredited), academic medical center, or vascular surgery practice, experience training students or new technologists, or familiarity with reporting and image management systems
Required for all applicants
- Must have US work authorization
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to explain complex vascular testing concepts clearly
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
