We're looking for voice actors, narrators, live streamers, online teachers and confident conversationalists for a recording project lasting two weeks or more. You'll help another person with everyday tasks while they share their screen or show you something through their phone camera. We supply the scripts and training.
About the role
You're guiding someone, not reading to a microphone. The script supplies the information. You put it in your own words and respond to what's actually happening. You'll prepare the task, lead the conversation and give clear feedback when another take is needed. You don't need to be a subject matter expert.
We're after warm, natural conversation, not an announcer read. Listening, reacting and adapting matter more than word-perfect delivery.
We want a mix of backgrounds, not one type of person. Live streamers, online tutors and teachers, voice actors, audio narrators, podcasters, presenters, MCs and hosts are all a good fit.
Training is provided, and an Askable team member will help kick off your first session.
The conversations will be used for AI training.
What you'll do
Prepare the task Prepare and adapt supplied scripts with the other person.
Help on what you can see Give concise, accurate help based on their live screen or camera view.
Run the recording Run our recording tool, check quality feedback and retake when needed.
Session pace Aim for 2 to 3 strong tasks per hour-long session, with roughly 2 to 6 minutes of usable interaction per take.
Requirements
Delivery Natural conversational delivery and confidence leading a live interaction.
Experience Paid or semi-professional speaking experience , such as live streaming, online teaching or tutoring, voice acting, audio narration, podcasting, presenting or hosting.
Microphone and space A standalone USB or XLR microphone and a quiet recording space.
Headphones Worn every session , to stop the other person's audio leaking into your microphone.
Software Comfort learning new software, and following a live screen or camera view.
Availability Minimum 15 hours per week , for at least two weeks.
Language and device English (American), on a secure personal device.

• Completed 60-minute session: US$50.

• Approved task: US$15 extra per task, up to 5 tasks per hour.

• User no-show: US$30.

• Session failure due to a platform issue or the user dropping off: US$50.

• Task bonuses require manual approval by an Askable team member. Automatic quality feedback is a guide, not a guarantee of approval.

• You'll work remotely as an independent contractor and be paid directly.
